Hy,
iīm a new Stinger 90 pilot and i have now some questions.
Sorry, but my english is not so good...
What for a engine can i use for the Stinger 90?
My first idea was the Webra Speed 91 P5 AAR
for the swash plate i will use Futaba S9252 servos...
is that system ok?
i have a muffler zimmermann (german product) here....but my first option is the MPII... so i want to use the zimmermann muffler about 2 months and then the MPII...
or what is your proposal?
are the original blades from gohbee good enough for 3d?
what can i do, to sharpen the system?
what is your experience about problems in the Stinger system?
sorry for so many questions....
greatings from germany.... :D

Questions are always good, the 9252s servos will work great, i have them on my one of my stinger 90s, i dont know much about the webra engines but have not heard bad things so it should work fine for you, the zimmerman pipe will be good till you get the MP-2 pipe, you may want some lighte paddels for 3D if thats were your at for flying , other then that nothing to worry about other than time to fly.... :D

As Scott mentioned the stock paddles are heavy for 3D.
You may also want to consider the On Edge dampers if you are into hard 3D. The stock dampers are a little soft.
You asked if the stock blades were OK for 3D. Are you referring to the paddles, or what kind of blades came with your Stinger 90?

Hy....
thank you all for the answers!
The blades came with the Stinger 90...on the blades you can read: JS (jing shi)??
the color is silver! i know that the blades are CFK Blades....
they look really fine... :D
the paddles are to heavy...so i donīt know with whichsoever i can change it?
V-Blades? SAB? orig. TT paddles?
i have no idea.....the 50ccm helikopter was till now my area
thanks for your help....

At the moment I have the red TT paddles on my 90.
I don't really like the way that they fly for me, Gohbee is working on a set of carbon fiber paddles for the 90, as soon as they come out I will try a set. For now the the only other paddle that I have tried on my 90 is the MAH carbon paddles, which I liked a lot till I broke one. I would think that almost any light weight carbon paddle will work fine.
The silver Fiberglass blades are OK for light 3D but I would be leery of any hard collective pumping type maneuvers. I have not heard of any failures that were not ground related but then I also have not heard of anyone doing hard 3D with them either.

Hy
today was my testflight (first flight) with the Stinger 90!
Its a really good helicopter.
But i have a problem:
the CFK Blades from Gohbee are foul. I have al lot of vibrations. My first guess was the the engine...but the motor works great.
the Blades are very bad. the machining is bad, they have big waves.
What for Blades can i use now??

you could try to get the blades balanced if that helps, a guy hates to get a bad set of blades, what kind of blades are available in your area.

Contact the dealer that you got the blades from to get them exchanged for new ones.

The stock black plastic paddles on the Stinger 90 are 52 grams.
Great for learning to fly but pretty slow for 3D.
At the moment I have the red TT paddles on my 90.
I don't really like the way that they fly for me, Gohbee is working on a set of carbon fiber paddles for the 90, as soon as they come out I will try a set. I have a new (little) problem...
my stinger 90 has initial easily removable rust!!!
are the screw from so bad quality??

The coating that makes screws black is black oxide.
Black oxide does not prevent rust.
What black oxide does is to give the metal a slightly porous surface so that oil can soak in.
It is the oil that prevents rust.
Without a coating of oil any brand of black oxide screw will rust.
You are getting the heli too clean. :)
You could use stainless steel or plated screws but the cost goes up fast.

When we did some testing at our field with a digital scale (Admittedly a cheap one) my stock Stinger 90 with MAH 710 blades and MAH carbon paddles, weighed exactly the same as a R60 that had an os91 CS installed, 680 V's and V paddles, the Raptor also had carbon frames and a QUK one-way assembly. Both helies had as much fuel removed as the pump would pull out. The rest was all very similar equipment.
They both came out at 10.6 lbs (4808 grams).
I did have a 4200mah Li-Ion pack with regulator and the Raptor had a 4400mah Duralite w/ reg.
I put no faith in the actual measurement of the weight but in the fact that the weighs were repeatable and did go up with the addition of a small amount of fuel.
So I am confident that these 2 helies weighed the same but I am not sure exactly how much that is.

My stinger 90 weighted 10.3 lbs, and this othe guys hirbo 90 weighted 12.2 lbs
now my stinger is stock and had no fuel in it with a jr 4600 battery as well.
