Has anyone shorten the cable lead on your Futaba 9254? On my Swift the tail servo is close enough to the Rx that the servo really only needs 4-5” but this servo has an especially long lead that needs wrapped around the boom.

You can shorten it. Only problem is if you switch the servo to another heli. Then you would have to use an extension to get it to the RX. The servo lead on the 9254 is approx. 11 inches long. I would just bundle the excess and secure it with some velcro or a rubber band.
