I've been practicing with Phoenix for a few weeks now. When I first set it up, I set the simulation speed to 125% thinking this would increase the FPS.
WRONG, I basically put the simulation in fast forward. Wow, now decreasing my sim speed to 100%, my flying is greatly improved. If your having a hard time with Phoenix you might even want to reduce the speed below 100% to give yourself a little more time to react as your learning.
Another thing that I stumbled across is with model size. To start, flying small models like the MSR and Trex 250 were kind of like trying to fly a bumble bee as they were so small and hard to see. I discovered that using the center mouse wheel you can zoom in on the model which makes these smaller models a lot easier to fly.
Not sure if anyone else out there is flying with as few brain cells as I am, but if so, I hope these observation help you enjoy Phoenix more. They sure have for me.:arggg:
