I found a quick and easy fix for the annoying ratcheting throttle on the Blade CP radio. Just open up the radio by removing the 4 screws on the back. Now look at the throttle...there is a piece of metal contacting it to provide the ratcheting effect. Just take a piece of fuel tubing and slide it over the metal piece. Thats it. Put it back together and you now have a silky smooth throttle. Other than the bell head upgrade, this is the best mod i've done for my Blade.

Or better yet, just flip the piece of metal over like I did months ago. :)

Nothing to wear out that way. ;)

I found that flipping over the metal piece caused the throttle to feel TOO loose. Instead, I fitted another flat piece of metal under it. No wear, but offers just enough pressure to keep the throttle still while eliminating the annoying ratcheting throttle problem.

I agree with Wayne, although its an expensive upgrade if you don't already have one. Good computer radios are so smooth compared to the E-Flight radio. Plus you can modify pitch/throttle curves and save lots of money on AA batteries. A nice radio is a great investment for anyone sticking with this hobby and you will never be sorry after buying a good one.

Hehehehe... LMFAO... Yea, that's what I ended up doing ultimately too. Flies much better on my 9CH and my 14. :)
