I have been using clearveiw for a while and would love to have some feedback from people who have used both CV and G3. How much better is G3?

This is what I posted at Rcgroup today:

I bought G3 used and I am somewhat happy with it, but today I tried the demo with my G3 controller and I was really suprised at the feel of the heli. For someone who don't want to spend the extra cash I would suggest this sim. Now it don't have the bells and whistles as G3 but I feel it is a great simulator for the price. If I had to do it over again I don't know if I would have spent the extra money fo G3. It seems to me that people get caught up in the big name products like G3, Reflex and others which I am included in this group, that we don't give other good products a chance. To be honest the physic felt just as good as my G3. Some people might disagree but this is what I have experienced. I might purchase it to go on my older laptop so some of the people on my job who bug me about flying my heli (which won't happen) can see what I go through to fly. Good job Stefan!

I have FMS, ClearView and Reflex and have tried the G3 demo. In my opinion ClearView is at least 80% as good as G3 or Reflex for about %12 of the price. Great value. Stefan, the author is very proactive, open to enhancement requests and posts updates and enhancements (for free) about once a month.

I find the TRex a lot twitchier in ClearView and a bit too "on rails" in Reflex, which just shows that no sim is perfect. If you are enjoying ClearView then stick with it, you won't get any more value in terms of learning new skills from G3.

However, if you really feel the need for a new sim, take a good look at Phoenix as it it getting great reviews. IMO the main reason for choosing G3 would be its online play feature which a lot of people really like. If that doesn't appeal, it is the most expensive by far since extra models, flying fields and upgrades are all extra cost items, unlike Reflex or Phoenix where they are free.
