I finally completed assembly of my Lepton EX on Sep 19th... (with a thanks to Finless for his assembly videos, they were a great reference)
I spent the next few days measuring links and doing final adjustments.
On friday the 21st, I spooled her up for the first time. I noticed no vibrations and the blade tracking seemed to be good (I must have the same eye that Finless has, since I did the swash leveling without any special tools).
It was exciting to see her running... and then she was light on the skids and I could see that she wanted to fly, so I pressed to a takeoff and got her into a stable hover, tail-in. I translated left and right, out and back a few times, kept her in hover and then set her down...
It was wonderful...
Maybe I'll see some of you at the free helicopter fun-fly this weekend in saugus, MA...
