Just a heads up for the folks building a Logo 10 Deluxe.

I'm in the process of finishing the little heli and when I started to mount the ESC I quickly learned there really doesn't seem to be a good place to mount it, at least up front. I see now there are 2 or 3 different (optional) brackets available which would make the job go much easier.

Being impatient, I've been fabricating an ugly one for the last couple of hours just to get it finished but I'll probably order a nicer one to install later just so I don't have to look at the one I'm making. :badair:

Unless I'm missing something obvious I'd suggest ordering the ESC bracket along with all the other goodies initially. So far that's the only little snag I've run in to. I think I'm really gonna like this little bird.

You dont really need a bracket. THe ESC just hanngs down from the motor freely.

If you want you can get the Plesc ESC mount from FXAeromodels. That works well.

I just use a plastic ty-wrap to gently secure mine to the nearest frame member. You don't need to tighten it real tight just snug it up.

I would suggest buying the bracket. This because it's easier to make sure the stress is off the wires and such. Also the wires don't move around as much and the esc can be neatly mounted further away from the motor. This is good to keep intereference and heat away from both esc and motor. It's not that much and if your flying a 10-3d having things like this spaced out a bit surely doesn't hurt. I have also used this to mount a fan (older L10) under the bracket and it moves air over the esc and the motor at the same time. My only complaint is that it should cost about $10us. However it does look like it would be easy to make but I hate going there.

have fun!

I made my own bracket... quite easy to do. I used some brass plate I had, one part bolted on the frame, bended the other to fit, bolted that part into the part I already bolted to the frame.

I used 2 of the aly landing gear mounts, (little ell brackets), and attached to the holes above the cf battery extension and then made a g10 bracket with cutouts for weight saving.

Took about 30 min total and is quite secure. I also mounted the ubec under on the bottom..... :D
