I just bought the MX400, I also have a Blade CP Pro that I tried to hover once. I am thinking of buying the the Spectrum DX6 for my Blade and also at the same time wondering if I can use this radio with the MX400 as well. If possible, what servo do i need.

I also purchased a mx400 and I have installed a dx6 and it works fine(except for the bad rx). It comes with 4 servos but alot of people are recommending a faster servo for the tail.

You can use the DX6 for just about any heli up to and including a TRex600. The Rx is very small and only 7g. The S75 servos that come with the DX6 are not really suitable for a 400 size heli as they are known to wear quickly and become sloppy. Perhaps use Hitec HS56 or better, HS65-MG if they will fit.

I dont know where the slop idea comes from, my s75s have yet to fail me. The dx6 is sweet for flying at fun flys, you get to bypass transmiter impound. The hs 56 is a strunger servo, but I'm happy with my eflites. As for the somthing faster for the tail, the only way to get faster is a gy401 and digital servo. If you get into 3d you will want a metal gear servo with ball bearings to take the beating, but the x400 needs alot of tweaking for hard 3d.

its not the slop you need to worry about when it comes to plastic gear servos , they cant handle the load forces on collective . you'll find out once you start stick banging , or when you need to bail out and need full pitch , your plastic gears will strip and leave you dumbstruck while your heli hits dirt . i know it happened to me , now i use karbonite at the very least . metal gear is your best choice .
