Hawk Pro. Proper header tank height?

What is the proper height for a header tank? I'm mounting one on my Hawk right now and am trying to decide if I need to drill a new hole in the frame or just use the right rear upper frame bolt. Its the highest bolt on the lower side frame. It puts the the header tank above the carb. I could put the header tank directly behind the main tank. I would need to drill a new hole for this location. This location would allow me to position the header tank below or level with the carb. What position is best?

ideally, the header tank centerline should be in line with the centerline of the carb barrel, but it's not that critical. You can miss by an inch or so and still be okay.

I placed mine on the upper fram blot and i am not having any probleams, guess i got lucky
