hey,

i am just wondering what i should be using with my new ion, i haven't been a real fan of the pcm or i call it (please crash me) i know with ppm you get all the hits of metal to metal, but i just hate the thought of a heli locking out on me,

i would rather have it twitching and have a chance of saving it..

i am thinking of getting the R900 pcm receiver..

let me know what you guys use, and yes i am a jr man.. sorry to all those futaba fans hehehe but i still use futaba gyros and servos :)

Cheers,
matt

hey , as long as I been flying the Ion , its been PCM, and as long as you keep the rx away fro the esc , then you will hardly get any interferance, not one lockout on my machines,

Hey Matt,

If you can wait until Nov you can see how the XtremeLink 2.4G solution turns out: http://www.xtremepowersystems.net/index.php

Hello, for what it's worth, I'm flying a new synthesized Fusion9 rx with Intelligence Pulse Decoding (IPD) in my Ion with zero issues, no glitches nor lockouts. It's like a PCM version of PPM... if that makes sense.. hehe. Signals are processed before being sent to the servos etc. You can program in failsafe settings and all. They are compatible with any PPM Tx. I'm also using a Multiplex 12-channel IPD receiver in my JokerCX with great results. They are very nice little units and a great alternative to PCM and regular PPM.

With that said, everybody else flies PCM with great results. So many people can't be wrong you know... Good luck!
