thrust bearing tail grips

I just noticed that the v1 raptor thrust bearing for the main grips seem to be the exact same size as the v2 tail grip bearings. Would it be a good idea to remove one of the radial bearings from the tail grips, and install a thrust bearing in it's place.

Does anyone do this?
