Gyro mount on a stratus

A brand new bulit stratus has a slight side to side tail vibration. The gyro mount on the stratus is small, it won't seat the whole gyro on it. Both edges of the gyro tape stick out from the sides. Is this why I have tail vibration or do I have to check the fan run out? Thanks.

601/611 sensor sets on the gyro mounting plate nicely.

this is a 611 gyro......well anyway my question was about the tail vibration...what could it be?

Check the fan for run out. You need the run out at least below .002.
