View Full Version : Observer in a Scale Fuse
Since the controls are in the aft position & up front is just a plate for a camera, has anyone used an observer in a scale fuse. It seems well suited to having room for a cockpit. Any thoughts on this?

That is an interesting idea!

I like that idea too! It seems like a perfect solution to the problem. You get the best of both worlds: scale bodies and the simplicity of a non-CCPM machine.
The only problem I see is that you might need some nose weight to balance it out. However, most scale bodies are fairly long as the main shaft is further back, so this may be a non-issue.
Hey Chris, want to become Vario's worst nightmare? I see an Airwolf body in your future. ;)
I'm putting it in a KAVAN JetRanger fuse, if it fits, Just waiting for the FEMA electric start to get here to find out if I can cram it all in there. Even the tail pitch rod & blades are on the correct side for the 206B setup. The Jetranger has it's fuel tank under the back seat, so when the cushions are removed (full scale here) cargo can be carried in the back. I hope to hide all the mechanics with wood crates. (Stained balsa wood actually).

Nice!!! Post pictures as you work on it.
Don't hold your breath Paul I may be in for a cross country move in a couple of months so this will be on hold (if I do) for at least 8 months. But I will post pictures during the project build for everyone to enjoy.
