Did you go shopping @ the same store as me or something. First the dx6 now the gyro. That is the gyro that I did purchase. Not sure how good it works though. While I was setting up the servos and checking that everything was moving correctly my rotor head came apart and I lost a few screws , washers and bearings. So make sure you go over everything (unlike me) before you run it up.

Here's my story: I bought the Blade CP Pro and have bought some upgrades. 1320mah lipo, SuperSkids, G90 Gyro, Plasti-blades etc. Twice when I got it off the ground I crash landed on each. So I started contemplating about the Spectrum DX6 for glitch free flights and also the Expo capability.

I went to a RC racetrack one day since thursdays were Heli night, lo and behold i saw the lonely MX400 sitting there, upon closer inspection. I found out that it was on sale for $75 no tax. Bought it in a quickness!.

My mission for the MX400 is to have a glitch free system and as stable as it can be. With that I might be skipping with the TRex head thing, but i will replace the tail in the future. Also I am planning to get the SPectrum DX6 and would want to work with the MX400 as well.

Whats your story?

By the way let me know how your build goes, since mine is a long term project

I am a heli newbie that recently got the 400 pro on sale. I bought the g90 gyro at the same time, but I couldn't get it to work correctly. I would only get movement over 50% of right rudder stick regardless of throws, end points, gain, etc. Even two pros at the LHS couldn't figure out why. I'm using a Spektrum radio.

I ended up returning the g90 as defective and got a 401 instead. (more $ than I wanted to spend, but it works great.)

I've only had about 3 packs in the back yard hopping about and hovering (sort of). Practice.Practice.Practice. - my new mantra.

the E-flite gyro is practically the same as the Telebee but with a minor upgrade that allows for digital servos. It's a decent gyro. Not the best. It really has trouble with fast backward flight but if the heli is set up well mechanically the tail holds quite well for all other types of flight. I'm currently using an HS-65HB servo on the tail of my MX-400 with the telebee gyro and it's very nice.

It's not as good as one of the futaba gyros but it's also half the cost.

Thank you I am in a position where I cant afford the 401 nor do I need that good of a gyro ! when I start doing pyro flips and stuff like that then ill worry about an expensive gyro! but for now ill just get something that works

This is the gyro that I use that comes in at $59:

I don't know how much the one was at your LHS but if Digital servo support does not matter to you the one above might be able to save you some money.

Ihave both the G90 on a CPPro, and an Align 500(?) gyro same as Telebee on an HDX450SE ( similar to TRx 450sSE ) they work fine.

Not super tail lock but OK for me...hovering, FF, mild aerobatics (loops). BTW I was sold Fut9650 for HDX tailservo..overkill I think, but maybe it'll wind up on a 500 size someday.
