I know that very few people have had a chance to see this heli close up yet, but what do you think? Trex 250 parts anyone?? I, for one, am hoping that the skids, canopies, things like that will fit.
I like to "customize" my helis.

+1 on that. That would be sweet to sort of mix-n-match some parts from the 'rex 250.

I wonder if we will all have to end up changing out our servos...I think it has the same servos from the B400....and we all know how well those have cracked up to be.

well, the way i see it, the servos should at least hold out a little longer on this smaller one. ( i hope):shock:. and we won't have to worry about the tail servo now either, right?

i've seen a trex 250 once at the LHS, they are SMALL!! i'm not sure if this heli is a little bigger than a 250 or not. I hope it's the same though :)

Good thinking , but I rather leave my T-Rex 250 like it is,and use the SR
for what it's made for
The MCX and MSR (except the landing skid) are really good helies
'straigt out the box' and needed only minor modifications to have big fun
and durability

some of us (me) don't have a Trex ;)

basically i was talking skids, stabs, canopies, just cosmetic stuff. I firmly doubt that real parts will be interchangeable.. I don't worry about this really because I don't fly 3D yet anyways :)

I had a chance to hold the SR at E-Fest. It seems to be larger than the trex 250. I dont think the trex 250 parts are gonna fit to well. I could be wrong since I didnt have them next to each other, but the 250 just seems quite smaller.

I think the SR is the same size as the CP Pro but with a real frame and skids instead of the Tinker Toy stuff.

So it is bigger than the 250.

I really don't need another heli but at $200 bucks it may be an impulse buy one day.

Too bad the parts are probably more expensive than the b400 and I'm not big on the tail motor though.

Batteries are relatively cheap though. - 1000mah 15c.

245mm blades for SR, 205mm blades on Trex.

thanks guys! I don't have anything to compare to, i've never seen a CP pro either. Idid hear this heli was more like a '300' than a 250 size. oh well. we will find out for sure what fits and what doesn't when it comes out!! here is a SWEET canopy they are putting out that i found though:

yep :thumbup: there will be a black tail boom as well :) My LHS doesn't have the part #'s for these or the canopies yet, so I can't order them right now:(

That's fortunate because we can't have any hobo helis flying out there; you know, the ones with colors that don't 'go' together :rollingIt might not even fly right with such a color mismatch....

I picked up two SR's today. Unboxed one and test flew it outside for about 5 minutes. The tail was pretty twitchy, but it was getting too dark to tweak it. I will play with it more tomorrow.
