Well I learned something today, you have almost no control over a heli
(Hawk Pro) when the ball link pulls off of the collective rod at the servo...
The ball link stayed on the ball and after we got to checking it out you could screw the ball link on the rod, then with almost no effort, pull it off...
As a matter of fact you could just push it on the thread if you wanted to...
I have been looking on the Century Page and the ball links for the Predators look like they are made much heavier...Does anyone know if the Predator uses the same size balls and rods???Does anyone make a better ball link that will fit the rods and balls on the hawk???

Predator balls work well, however you need to use a nut on the back of the servo arm or wheel to keep it secure.
replace any links that feel suspect.
As far as I know, all manufacturers of nitro machines are using the same size balls and links.

The rods on the Predator are bigger. The rod ends will not work on your rods. Im not ure what happed on your heli, but somtimes when putting them together they seem to cross thread and tear up the rod end and it will pull out. Try a new one and see what happens. You could use the predator stuff but finding the rods the right length could be a problem.

Rodney,
I am almost certain the Predator and Hawk rods are the same diameter, and therefore, the rod ends are interchangeable. As a matter of fact, I use the smaller Century rod ends on the push/pull Predator rods so they will clear the servos better when the balls are installed on the back side of the servo arms.

That is OK Rodney. Like I tell my girlfriend. "Go ahead and mark this day on the calender, it will be a while till I am wrong again"

I think you can use the JR ones too. I've never had this problem before, but I suspect engine vibration. Make sure you ballanced the fan and clutch my friend. A drop of locktite or super glue might help as well once you've set the rod size.

Hi Tailboom:
In this case vibration was not an issue, I have seen electrics that had more vibration than this heli...From the first time I hovered it I was amazed at just how smooth it was, especially for a nitro heli...
