Lacking a tach-- Scorpion 1390 on 6S and 11 pinion--should put me in a decent ICE governor zone--or 12 T for headroom?

And run the BEC Pro at what volts? JR8900 says 4.8 and the fancy new Spektrums say 6V. Pro starts at 4.9--

We are 4 battery's from Hong Kong, 18 inches of snow melt and 5 more degrees --and a backordered 100 Ice--- and two servo extensions --from two new birds commencing to flapping. An outrage

That's my question too. I've heard 2100RP is good headspeed for the 550.. and with my 1400KV motor and 12T I can get an "average" headspeed of 2490 or so at 100%... so I m guessing 12T for headroom. But I'll watch this thread too.

Then again.. that's an average.. initial 22.2v headspeed 2650+ .... maybe 11T is the way to go?

1900 is just for basic forward flight and general meandering the field of play :)

2150 is the zone for decent handling and good 3d Flight

2250 - 2350 is for more responsive 3D

2400 is the max you would ever need/want anything more is just waisted energy
