Just want to check if this Video is essentially the same for the 550 Carbon kit? From what I see the head, and tail setups would be the only differences correct? The frames are carbon on the 550 but look virtually identical to the Swift 16, at least from what I can tell. Any help is greatly appreciated.

No worries Bob, u are the Man. I recommend all my customers to watch your videos, especially the Heli 101 vids. An endless wealth of information. I honestly don't think this hobby would be able to thrive so much without your help and videos. You are sure a giving guy, not many would do what you do for free, well you do get free heli's ( I assume so anyways) but still, I know you are giving up a lot of your time to make these videos. No thanks can be enough for you.

Well maybe I can make a recommendation to Century ;) Anyways hopefully they can send you one and we can have another kick a$$ video. Thanks again for all your hard work and help, 15% discount from me anytime :D.

Cool... thanks! I may take you up on that for sure!

So you know while I do get a free heli for the builds I DO pay for everything that goes into it! Electronics, motors, ESC, batts, servos, upgrades, etc etc etc... So dont think for a minute that my own dollars dont go into any heli build I have done yet!. I have YET to do one that was completely free! Considering the hours I put in to a build vid.... I am not compensated to what most people would think!!!!
BUT thats OK as I love doing it! The vids is part of the hobby to me so I dont have a problem with that :)

Anyway THANKS for the discount!

Oh yeah man no doubt. You are paying for all the stuff and that is some cash ola there. Damn that is the expensive part anyways right :D, not the stinkin helicopter, they are cheap in comparison. I am still working on getting all of our stuff on the site but pretty much anything you need we can get. I don't own the typical website here, pretty much I am always willing to make a deal.. SHH don't tell anybody though. LOL :) That is the whole reason I started this business, to pay for my hobby and to hook up other people and hopefully make some money in the process, well and to help pay for flight training. Already in the hole up to my eyeballs in student loans. Anyways thanks again for all the great hard work and looking forward to more vids. Well it would be great if you made it to the Brooks OR, FunFly, that is gonna be quite an event. I'll have a booth set up there, but I am really just going to watch and have fun. Talk to you later Bob, take care, most importantly Have fun and stay safe. Off to bed.

Hi

I am considering getting the Swift and I was just wondering if you have tried it on a 4 cell pack and a 13t pinion as I have quite a few 4 cell packs.

Thanks kindly

Hi.

Can anybody help me with a Funky chicken vibration swift 16 plastic heli bought last year?
Balanced blades, Main shaft is ok, feather spindle is hardened steel, spool up and down with out blades and no vibration..... Whats the problem? Blade grips? Landing Gear?
What else can I do? :arggg:
I build it with the help of Finless Bob videos ( thanks Bob :) )

If I have to buy new parts I'll trow it to the sea and buy a raptor or another brand heli...

I've build a few T-Rex and MT and never had so many problems.....

Greetings

You should probably post this question in the Century Forum as this thread is for my videos. The century forum has more people reading posts than here.

Thanks Bob, just downloading them for the big build :D . This may sound silly but from the ones I have watched so far is this the Swift 16 or Swift 550 Carbon?

If its an older model (if it uses 3mm screws for the blades) then they can bend over time and this will cause head problems. Century now do 4mm ones.

THis is the swift not the new carbon version. Century updated the blade bolts to 4mm some time ago. Mine had 4mm at the time of this build.

Ah ok, do you know how similar they are to build. Tail, head frames ect.

Thanks.

Hello, i am fixing my Swift. About to put in the main bearings on the plastic bearing housing, went to look for the shoe goop as mentioned in the video.

Home Depot didn't have it, neither did they have the Plumbers goop. they just had all purpose type of goop. will that work?

look forward to your feedback, Khan

I think any glue which is "gooey" and does not attack plastic will be fine for this purpose. I used uhu glue from stationary store.
