Futaba does not spec that servo to 6V. Its rated to 4.8V only http://www.gpdealera.com/cgi-bin/wga...pgm?I=FUTM0224.

The stock Trex 500 ESC can be programmed to output 5, 5.5 or 6V. At 5V, no stepdown is needed.

BUT if your cyclic servos can run on 6V get a stepdown for the tail.

You'll get a little better performance if you go 6V on cyclic servos with step down to tail but it will still fly great at 5V or 5.5V too.

You can look at the specs on your servos on speed side to see if the 6V makes enough difference to get the step down or just lower the voltage from you ESC.

For me the quicker the better on the cyclic.

Totally up to you,

Craig
