Hello,
Sometime has gone by since the extreme packs have come out. Wondering who is running the 4600 Extreme packs and what your thoughts might be after getting some cycles on them? I like my evo 3700s' but based on a few "stretch canopy" comments I am nervous abou the 4350 packs. I see now TP has a 5000 5S1P lipo, not sure if it would fit under the hood either, or of they would balance out weight wise on a Razor as I will be using packs for that heli as well. I 'd like to get the power I have out of these Evos only I need another minute in the air, that would make me happy. Some of you who have the TP packs I'd like to hear your opinions on how the packs are holding up and performing. There have been some reports of people running the TP Extreme 6S on the rex and saying they seem to be needing balancing all time and some stories of premature deterioration etc, I'd love to hear from you guys to sort out the bull and the real stuff, thanks.
Shawn,
Let me put it this way , the 3700's still my favorite pack for 5 min. flights , and I've tried the 4350's and 4600's and like the lighter feel of the 3700's better.
I'm not sponsored nor biased( I pay for my packs ) so this is only my personal opinion.
I'm sure others will have their own opinion ( Some guys will tell you that one is better without even trying both ) ; I know Bobby and Will have tried em all too and I think they agree with me.

Thanks for that Ed, curious however do you in fact get a minute more safely with your 4600s' or do you fly them in and around the same time with the weight diff? :dontknow

Yes I can get one more minute no problem with both the 4600's and 4350's .

I am flying the EVO 4350's in my Ion and I LOVE them. Lots of fun, canopy stretch is no problem. I also LOVE the EVO 3700's in the Ion, so powerful and light, but I have been flying the 4350's comparing the V-Ballancer performance compared to the 1010/210V for the last week or two.
Going back to the Sheep today for more flying, trying GOV mode on my older 40-160 (thanks Tony!!) and see how it goes today.

Hello, well I will soon receive some 3850's, two 4600's and even a set of 5000's Extreme packs to try out in my Ion. No Evo's though. Can't wait to see which I one I like best. I will post comments and videos online :).

GREAT, hopefully we can see you at IRCHA SE in a few weeks and compare the performance head to head between your packs and the EVO packs. :)
It is GREAT that there are so many choices in LiPo's these days, performance is getting AWESOME!!

have fun Will , at least you never have to worry about blowing that controller huh? let me know how it works , with the actro , you can see it when gov is below 88% really well, maining a 1900sh HS so now you can add pitch to get the same reaction as the 100% throttle

Bobby did you modify the standoffs for the 6s1p , Those packs are 42mm wide or are you trying a 3+3 stick version?

Epc2 as you know i already cut the battery trays down for 1p packs and the 6s1p packs seem to fit well like that
