I am rebuilding the back end of the tail drive shaft and I am wondering if I should attempt to match up the previously drilled dimples that I locked the collars on or drill a new hole. I'm not sure I could match the original hole, but I could probably be close. I am worried that I could damage either the tail rotor shaft or carrier bearing shaft by putting multiple holes in the shaft. How would you do the repair?

I always just measure how far out the dimple is and then drill a small hole in the arrow shaft at the same or maybe .5 mm less...has always worked for me...no need to keep drilling holes in the input shafts...
