Toxic sells modified helicopter engines through Miniature Aircraft. Any hobby store that carries MA inventory should be able to obtain an engine for you.
Try Rick's (http://ronlund.com/). Great prices and service. Rick's carries all MA merchandise.

on the MA site, the engine sells for $450. I wonder if this is the cheapest.
I went to Rick's and it doesn't say the engine is modified and the price is $280. So I'm guessing this is the stock model.
Heliproz offers a "stage 1 modified" 231 for $450 also and I wonder if that's the TRM one.
Just wondering if $450 is the cheapest.

Call Ricks and talk to Nathan or Karen. I believe the "stage 1 modified" from HP is the TRM version, but you'd have to call HP and ask.

That sounds about right. The stock 23 and 26 are usually $280-$300. The modifications add another $150 or so to the price.
The Stage 1 modified engine is the TRM engine. BH Hanson uses different terms to describe his engines. Also, Hanson only sells direct through the web site, so it's doubful that you'll find one at another vendor.
