Hi guys, I havent started Ap yet, but its something i am looking into and have a lot to learn before i even begin buying anything. However, i was wondering if anyone has used the Robbe Helicommand system yet or even if it is something anyone would use for Ap?

Well many folks use some type of stabization but it is important to learn to fly well first. I am working on that.

I just recently started using a Heli Command unit. It's pretty nice. If you take a lap top in the field with you, you can change parameters on it if need be. It has a number of nice features like braking, position hold, ect. The position hold works well but only close to the ground, within 10 feet I believe, no good for the elevations we fly at. The stabilization however is nice. The heli holds a pretty well and depending on your settings the unit corrects very quickly. If you get yourself in trouble and have the presence of mind to let go of the sticks it will keep the heli right side up for you and help you recover. It's a nice piece of mind if you want to just lightly touch the cyclic while trying to hold a high hover.
