Dose anyone have any experience with the HDS-877 Digital Micro Servo? I have herd they don’t last very long because they burnout motors.
Any info is greatly appreciated

People seem to have quite variable experience with these. Some are trouble free, some burn up quickly. Me, I have two that I've never flown because they act so wierd just on the bench.
What application?

I want to use mine as a tail servo on a HDX 450 with a 401 gyro. When I test it on the bench the servo is really jerky to progressive stick inputs i.e. when you move the rudder stick from center slowly all the way to one side the servo doesn’t go through the motion smoothly :? .

I’m swapping the 877 for a 577, hopefully it will work better

577 works great  tail is nice and solid for now (5 flights)

The other thing is to take the board out and stick it into a HS56. DHS56 is digital, but with better motor, pot, and gears.
A couple of threads on RC Group.
