Can I use a std Y lead harness to plug into the batt/data port on my AR7000?

Reason being is I have very restricted access to the receiver so swapping the battery plug to another port in order to log data is near impossible.

I have already installed the Y lead harness into the batt/data port and plugged one lead to the battery and the other to the data logger so physically it can be done but will it cause any in air drama?

I plan to fly with just the battery plugged in and leave the other plug open and have the ability to plug the data logger in when the plane is back in the pitt's area so I can check the receiver performance.

Thanks fellow helifreakers

I think it would be fine.

If the only source of signal on that channel is from the logger you should have no problem at all.
