Wanted to see the number of people that use a web host or possibly use there own servers to provide their web pages.
I see alot of nice pages out there, kudos to you all for caring about your stuff looks like.
If you do web host what one, and what kind of bandwidth do you use with video and photos
Thanks,
Ed

I'm using godaddy.com. Very reasonable in price. I am using godaddy for hosting pictures, but when I get video, I plan on using putfile.com, google video, or something similar since they are free and don't eat up my web hosting sites bandwidth. That's my thoughts anyway.

Use godaddy for the domain name, right now I am using Charter for my hosting because I got one free account with my internet access. But think I will be moving it over to godaddy servers or other soon.

I'm using CIHost.com here in Fort Worth. I wanted a windows host so I could do scripting with VBScript. It cost's a litle more, but I can host my own videos at the resolution I want and most of the time, the download speed is good. I've put a couple of videos on youtube, but I don't like the degredation in the video quality.
My website used 38 GB of bandwidth for September and had 28,321 hits with 4,919 visits.

I've been using GoDaddy for some time now. Get lots of space and a tremendous amount of bandwidth. Good programming options too. Using the Windows platform.
I don't get a lot of traffic but here are my stats for October:
Disk Space: 326.40 MB of 200000.00 MB
Bandwidth: 405.89 MB of 2000000.00 MB

In the past I used http://www.JaguarPC.com/ and found them to be very reliable. One of the few hosting services with a support forum for the users in which the owner of the company answers questions.
I wanted to experiment with Windows web hosting and ASP.Net pages, so I built my own server and now run it through a DSL line. I haven't had any problems with it. Pictures come up reasonably fast.
