I was looking at this helicopter in the new MWH and it looks like a beautiful machine. Price doesn't look that bad for a nice German piece of engineering. I think it will be around 529.00---looks much more sturdy than the logo....
Anyone else seen these pictures of this machine....

I have, and I have a motor and Lipo combo just waiting for mine :)
All the reports about it from the 3dm have been very good!
I wish someone had gotten a video, and yes it does look much beefier then the logo. Logo 14 looks nice too though
decisions decisions :)

I've flown the Three-Dee NT a little on Reflex. It performs great in the simulator. I don't like the way it looks, but then again I didn't like raptors or fury's when I first saw them either. Looks tend to grow on me eventually anyway... $529 is a fair price I think.

Tabb,
Where are you going to get yours from, and have you heard the exact price. I noticed from the write-up that that the heli is designed exactly for the volz servos so finding a source will be the question....
Thanks

charles, I am not sure yet where I will get it from. I will probably buy the package with blades and the volz servos. I think Jan has different packages that will include the heli, motor, esc, servos and blades.

The 3DMP is listed on Henseleit's website for 790 euro. When you subtract the 16% VAT, it's somewhere around 680 euro. Using today's exhange rate, this comes to approximately $820. This is for the kit alone. Not cheap...you can blame the weak dollar for that. Definately not your typical run of the mill helicopter. Henseleit's products are of very high quality. I'm on the wait list.

Has more info at the web site. I have been fortunate enough to talk with Jan and he is a great guy. He goes to practically every Heli event in Europe. That machine looks pretty cool. But so does the 3DNT. Considering the Dollar to euro exchange at present they are not worth getting. There are plenty of other machines that can do the job.

Ken,
The model will definitely be a cost issure. It is not going to be cheap for sure, the nice thing about their product line from what I have heard is they are designed from the get go to have the best parts nothing needed at all to upgrade. In the end it will be a tough decision conerning price, but from the looks of some of the other electric sites there are a lot of people drooling....
For those that would like to see a little better video I found another:

If you see it fly you will be amazed...
Climbs faster than a ninety, runs at 2100 but under 14 degrees of pitch it only drops to 1700 rpm...
Its a missile...
You will pay more for the heli but less for the batteries, motor and esc in US compared to Europe so it is still worth a look
:D

Galifrey,
Did you get to look it over at the 3DM. It looks like it would take virtually no time to build the machine.....Do you know which packs jan was using to fly for the demo.
Thanks

I think he was running some 10s2p packs, I think the RPM drop under load should be even less then what Galifrey was quoting with the HV setup. 400 RPM is a pretty high rpm drop under load for such a powerful HV setup.
I think people were saying that the final motor and lipo combo Jan was testing was the Tango with 10s2p or one of the large Plettis with 10s2p
Should be a very fun heli!
It is all I have been flying on reflex for some time
