I have a new setup on a 50 and placed the GV1 on top of the G3 receiver -
Is this a no no?
The reason I ask is because I believe I am getting a F/S condition as the head spools up and can't find anything loose and all the bearings are new.

While I cannot say 100% that the F/S is being caused by it, I always try to place anything electronic as far away from the Rx as possible. Seeing as Futaba claims the 5014 is more "sensitive" than other Rx's, it's even more crucial to ensure you do this. :arggg: :dontknow

I have a 4800 mAh square Fromeco pack in my R50. The G3 RX sits on top of it, the GV-1 box is on one side and the GY-611 box on the other side of the pack. Never had a problem with this arrangement. Everything is attached to the battery using Velcro. Battery sits on Zeal gel tape.

Well I have a couple people now telling me that the GV1 amp is NOT on top of the RX, so I will velcro mine to the side and see what happens.
I also turned off the throttle F/S for the next hover to see what gives.

When setting failsafe on the throttle and using a governor. You have to set failsafe on the GV1 channel also to turn it off.

Thx, yea ch8 is hard off on the14MZ for the GV1. I am hoping that I am getting F/S from the amp being on top of the RX because i can't find anything loose anywhere on the bird.
