Norwegian wood? The giant thing spun up and sounded like a million dollars--compared to 1500 some on a credit card.
Light on the skids and a crow hop --in the 35 mph's prevailing on a narrow shoveled driveway.
All the systems seemed within parameters. Not rocket science, but not far--and the 450 is just a toy now.
Vernal equinox is the goal to go gov mode and get the battery's from across the other ocean. Patience. jpegs to follow.

This is a really nice model.

I fed my 81 year old parents birthday dinner's yesterday. Mom said "That's a very pretty helicopter Jim". I had never thought about it. All those angles and cypherin and all. I said thank you Ma'am. My mother has always been right.
Now -- get it off the dinner table.

Nice bird you had for dinner... What did you use for painting the paddles, tail fins, tail blades?

The paddles and tail blades are KBDD, that is one of the colours they come in. The fins are some optional orange G10 components for sale at helidirect and RRE.

Any advantage of KBDD over stock ones apart from better visibility?

They are much quicker on cyclic

Paddles and blades Capi correct- and my buddy's are signal green- so we can tell which smoking hole in the ground is who's. Fins via Rustoleum's finest and mandatory sandpaper. We only went KB because the stock paddles failed ---on the bench.
Notice the shiny, not black, links? All Align ball ends and rods-- because they failed at assembly. Smooth--- I have the five part#s required somewhere around here.
Carbon tube tail servo rod- thanks Lithiumtastic.
Thanks everyone --enablers--all of you. Crash videos to ensue.

Try a Vbar FBL setup... OMG.... My agility slider is set to almost the lowest setting and it flips around 360º/second... my current preference... but slide it even 1/2 way up and I get the thing gets comical...

What do you mean?

I believe he means he uses spray paint on his fins.... but has to sand them first before painting.
