ok guys i want to be sure i understand these terms correctly.

dual rate = the ability to set how much throw the servo has.
expo = how responsive the center of stick movement is.

i am using my 2801 pro in 2401 mode, and switch to 2801 to make changes. then back to 2401 mode. i do this without rebinding. is that ok, or do i actually need to rebind every time i make changes. it sits there on the floor waiting for me to switch back to 2401 mode.

now if i am correct in my descriptions above how do i correct my flight characteristics of my 4#6? it moves/dives left to right, and foe, and aft. i set the d/r down to (i think i went down as low as 50) 50 with a liner expo. 50% d/r cut the servo movement in half correct? it still was a pain. i have to use almost full stick movement to correct. i guess i need to setup some neg expo to speed up the center stick movement then right?

i think i have too small of a room to fly in maybe. i mite be getting buffeting from my rotor wash off everything. could i be right?

when the battery gets low it flies much better. flies ok at my brothers house. more room than at my house.

oh ya. how do they fly outside? in wind? how much wind?

You have been flying for a bit, so I would recommend starting with a linear set up. Then slowly start introducing curve to make it a bit more "relaxing" to fly. Sounds like you don't have lots of room at your place, so you want the quickest reactions from the heli to deal with your small fly space.

FP helis and wind don't do very well together. You should be o.k. in s slight modest breeze, but I wouldn't fy it in "windy" conditions.

true, but tiny helis are a lot more work than my 450 ever thought of being. 100% D/R seems a bit much as well i think, but i did go as low as 50%, but was linear on expo as well. hmmmm this is the aggravating part of this heli. near the end of the battery it flies much better. could it be the battery? i mean would a 450 be better? i had a 15 c battery that was much easier to fly than a 20 c battery in my 450. mite that be the same issue with this heli as well?

lol i didn't expect to be able to fly it in the same amount of wind as i fly my trex 450 in. hell i'll fly it in almost any amount of wind with in reason. except when the lawn chairs are blowing down the driveway. i flew my cb100 in more wind than i should have, but i was still not totally comfortable wit her at the time. i'll fly my zagi (flying wing) in any amount of wind. in big blows ya gotta fly her like a sailboat going up wind though. i hovered her once at full throttle pointed directly into the wind. was really cool, but boy would she go down wind uber super fast!
