Hi all
I whant to change my front gear in the 550 huri from 42T to 60T and i have 2 questions

1. in the pic' attached do i need to open the upper screw and the down helen screw to get the gear out , what is the easy way to do this.

2. is the diameter of the 42T and the 60T are the same, or it is not and i need to adjust the pinion and motor again.

Thanks

Remove the 2 "grub" screws at the main gear then slide the owb shaft down far enough to slide the main gear out. Slide the new main gear in and install the grub screws. Make sure that they go into the indents in the shaft. You will have to slide the motor forward to get the new gear in, then re-adjust the gear mesh.

Depends on your setup (how tight all screws are). In my case I need to remove small screws which hold front gear, then remove bottom screw from the shaft and also loosen 4 screws which hold that shft in the frame. Afterwards slide shaft down and you have complettely disassembled gearbox (with separated bearings, gear, OWB, washers, etc...)!

you should only need to remove the grub screws from the front gear, the OWB shaft should slide down, if only with a few taps on the top of it with a screwdriver or something. if you have to remove any other screws then the setup is too tight.

btw, I've never seen a brass One way gear like that.

Agree with the others - just undo rub screws and push shaft down, install near gaer slide shaft up.

Aleks - if you need to do all of that then something is wrong

F***, you could say about that a bit sooner. That was my problem, described in "rebuld" thread. Of course, I already figured out that, but still, thanks for confirmation! Now I'm sure that frame was way too tight!

You should never have to remove the allen screw on the bottom of the shaft (one looking up from the bottom) That and the washer just keep the shaft and gear from riding up and rubbing the frame...

Just loosen the two allens on the primary gear as already mentioned.
