Hey,
I was going to get one of these little things after reading all the great reports and they look awesome fun as well.
But, from today I have started reading some stories about no spares available and batterys failing and am now feeling pretty glad I didn't.
From reading this morning, no spare parts are not available. As to the amount of flights you can expect I think no one really knows yet for sure. Some are failing quickly and others are lasting longer.
It will be interesting to hear if others have managed to find spares or good support from the manufacturer as that isn't all that great either.

You have to remember that this heli is considered a disposable toy and priced accordingly.
For a lot of people the price of this complete heli is almost the same as a gallon of fuel. Yet you do not hear complaints more than a sigh if that gallon of fuel stops working after 10 flights.
My Z had the tail motor die during the second flight.
I have found a source for the small motor that is on there and I am now trying to figure out which one(s) to get to try out.
The tail motors are about $4 so it is worth it to fix.
If you go to the website for these things they do clearly state that no spare parts are available.

Jeff,
What's your source for small motors? I have been trying to find replacement motors for my DragonFlyKing HX242 for ages with no luck.

I have more than I can count on mine. Only problem I have had so far is the tail prop spinning on the motor shaft (due to a few crashes by my wife who loves the thing) Quick crimp of the prop hole with a pair of needle nose pliers fixed that.

I have heard from a few guys that after 30 or so flights they are getting drift. All they did was repitch the tail blades and you are good to go again.

Out of the 3 I bought for me and my kids, 1 still works great, 1 got stepped on my the 4 yr old pilot, and the lil tail gaurd got broke, and the 3 machine seems to have a weak battery. But this is after 5-6 weeks of constant abuse. I had to tape and CA a main blade that got snapped off that neither of the lil nose-miners would own up to breaking. We've broken a few TR blades, as the kids get excited when they crash and stuff the throtle instead of letting go.
Any way you cut it, they are great fun for the whole family, close to indestructable, and they don't damage anything in the inevitable carnage.
