Just recharged after a longer single run tonight.

Superstretch Raptor
A50-12L
10s5000 Prodigy pack
MAH 700mm blades

Just hovering...Never went over ~ 50 feet, touched down a couple of times for a few seconds to tweak trims

8:30 runtime, charger initially stopped at 40.32v
~ 2500 put back into the pack.

Edit: I should say initially stopped at 40.32 with 1976mah back in. I restarted after the balancer caught up and put another 600ish into it.

Cool, if that pack holds out at that rate you're looking at 13.5 minutes.

Was that with a camera mount on it yet?

If not, then you're probably looking at 10 minute flight time.

I had the DJ Raptorcam mount on with a P&S camera.

Teej, does it happen often that your balancer cuts off the charge before all the cells in the pack are fully charged?? Where the batteries balanced on the previous charge cycle??

I don't want to scare you but I don't think the batteries should be out of balance after one gentle flight.

Do you know the temperature of the batteries after flight?

I would try to make 2 short runs of 4 minute each with a pause in between to see if the balance between the cells is better.

Also I would measure the separate cells with a multimeter before and after charge if the balancer connector allows this.

The packs are new (4 flights), this was the longest run, and I had not used the balancer on the previous run.

The cells weren't wildly out of balance... the 1010 showed .044 across 10 cells when it backed down to balancer mode. Once they were rebalanced it cut off rather than resuming charge since it was over 4 volts/cell (I forgot what its decision point is).

When I restarted, it ran full power up until the pack hit 42v and then dropped into CV mode and ran until done, with the balancer showing a .014 max.

Hi Teej,

I was not familiar with the balancer mode of the 1010 charger. Good to know you've got it under control. :D

not bad Teej.

I flew about 7 flights today shooting some video out in the desert. My 695mm equipped Raptor was getting 13 minute flights on my FlightPower "New Formulation" 5s5000's with about 4200 being put back in the packs. Raptor gross weight was 12.3lb.
