I have not had time to try 5S yest but I did try the 12T motor on 4S and I didnt like it. I got use to the power of the 10T motor so I went back to the 10T.
I will be trying 5S very soon as I have all the things needed I just need the time to do it.

BUT, the Lepton flys GREAT in my opinion on 4S and 10T motor.

Bob, you mean with 24T ? I assume 20T with 4S and Hyp10 is too low, but I haven't seen anything between 24T and 20T, guess would be good to have ... using the 24T, throttle % is less than 60%

xircom,

Tthe Lepton comes with a 26T and 24T pinion! So yes I am talking the 24T pinion and YES I am running those curves with that pinion and motor. Head speed is 2900.

and what is throttle % ? don't know if people disagree, but probably around 21T or 22T pinion would fit better ? would mean longer flight time and more torque ...

Yes I agree a 22T pinion would be better for this motor! My max throttle curve point (as I said above) is 85%. So yes a 22T pinion would be better BUT... I have tried a few motors now on 4S and this 3025-10 is the best n my opinion with supplied pinions.

If we get a 22T or 23T pinion - even though we may get increased headspeed - I wonder what our throttle curves will look like and if flight time will remain around 5 minutes plus for aggressive 3D,
I also wonder if the performance will be close to 5S, considering there is additional weight with 5S setup due to increased battery weight.
Any thoughts??

Jon (mudbogger) swears by his 5S setup.... I have a 19T pinion from Kovi and I FINALLY got my 5S cells so I am going to try the 3025-12 on 5S and the 19T pinion soon!

the 3025-12 is better then 3025 - 10 - which is what we both have,
12 turn is better for 5S?
I am very curious to hear your thoughts on power and fligh time - as I fly pretty much strong 3D most of the time and looking for best setup - I like the 4S - very good power, but could probably use just a little more power for tic-tocs, etc.
Thanks,
Jeff

I mean flying this thing for 5 minutes is enough for me :D . It doesn't go empty, but takes out around 3000 mah.
