12s setup log's

Here are some logs about my O550.

Scorpion HK4025-630 + 13T
timing 20°
gov. 80% throttle
12° pitch, 8° cyclic
2x6s/2650mAh 20C

It seems the 20C battey is enough for this setup. :YeaBaby:
I set the timer to 6 mins. But I think later I have to set back to 5 or 5.30.
And the gov. holds the RPM very well. :YeaBaby:

1st: only hoovering with 2 punch-out
2nd: hoovering, figure 8s, and some flips
3rd: inverted hoovering, figure 8s, flips, and at the end some piro-flips

So what's your AUW with this setup? I can't imagine the power in that bird with a gov HS of 22-2300 rpm. Heck, mines on 8S with 2150 is insane so that thing has got to be just ballistic! Also, do you have any issues with stripped gears? I seem to strip mines whenever I push my heavier 30C packs too far.

Better yet, now that I looked a little closer at the graph, have you thought about trying a 12 tooth with a goal of 22-2300 HS (instead of the insane but ballistic 24-2500HS) which would also probably get you your 6+ min?

I didn't have any stripping gear issues. This comes with the KIT. I set the mesh with a piece of paper. It worked till now.
I flow 2 weeks ago, and after that I forgot to check the heli. Last Sunday when I packed out at the airfield I started to check and realized the gear mesh was very big. About 1mm. Why??? Resetted it and flow.

The main goal was 2400 RPM with gov. That's why I chosoe 13T. According to Readyheli's config prog. this pinion gives me 2400 RPM + (10-15%) headroom for gov.
Yes, with 12T the flight time will longer, but maybe the gov. wont't work properly on 2400RPM.
I think I will go back to 2250 for 6 min flight time. :)
