Finally got all my stuff together and in the air today. it was a little windy, but managed to get a few shots. this is much harder than I first anticipated!! Hovering at high altitudes is not that easy. Here is one of the better pics below. I am using a Trex 600 with a Helicam Pro60 mount, and a Pentax Optio A10 camera.

Nice shot, man.

I'm still workin' on getting comfy with my own "tailor made" camera ship.

I'm not sure if it's the headspeed or what but it just isn't inspiring confidence.

I put my nitro raptor up and lost the canopy and rather than make me nervous, I just laughed since it didn't go through the blades. Fell off just as I was pulling up for a loop.

When I light up the camera ship, I feel like I'm on my first weekend with a helicopter again. I can hover it and slide it around, but I don't have the trust in the machine to run it out forward yet. Feels like I won't have the power to recover from any significant altitude loss.

I may just have to up the voltage and get it up to 1600 or so. :P

I hear ya! I felt like I had started all over again flying too. This is definitely going to take some practice, both for me flying and my wife operating the camera. Today was pretty windy, and I felt very nervous just hovering it around....

BTW, thanks for the compliment!
