Any input on the Mavvrik G4 PRO Carbon Fiber blades available from heliproz. Are the 550's good for the Raptor 30 (v.1)? How are they to install?
Thanks,
Matt

For the price, the 550 and 600's are hard to beat. No installation problems.

price is good for a ENTRY level blade like loops and rolls that kind of thing

Even the standard G4 blades (non-Pro) aren't bad for general sport flying.
A word of advice, though... check the balance. I've had a few pair over the years that were a little off. Nothing that 5 minutes with a balancer wouldn't fix, but enough to cause vibration problems if not addressed.

I've been here for way longer than the Pit's been around. I'm a mod here, too.

That just means the standards aren't very high. :D

So what do you mean by "Entry" level? Are they not as stiff / responsive?

G4 blades are good, just not great. G4's are stiffer than the regular Mavs but not quite as good as V Blades. They seem to be a tad bit less stiff than MAH or SABs. Flex means less response. That being said, I fly them when I don't want to lose my V's. There are a couple viewpoints on the subject. Sure, they are cheaper and when you crash you aren't out the big dollar blades. The other thought is, you may not have crashed if you had the right blades on to begin with. If I have a mechnical failure, V blades aren't going to make a difference. It's going in, they may survive the crash better than the G4's though.
