I had a 1800 mAh pack did the same thing on me two days ago. I was told on another helicopter site to just dump the battery. I have one of thoese safe Li-Po charging pots so the tool the battery out in my back yard to charge it.. Well to make a long story short, the battery caught fire. The pot did its works!! So just dump the battery for safety.
Just my two cents!!!

8min on a 1320 in a TRex, battery too hot to hold - no wonder you puffed it! How much charge have you been puting back into that battery after an 8min flight ? What is the C rating of that battery ? If you stick to the 80% discharge safety limit you should never need to put more than 1050mAh when charging.

My SE weighs about 750g with 430L/11t/315Pro and a 2200mAh/12C battery. With flights of 7:30 of hovering and mild FF I put back 1600mAh. Battery/motor/battery all no more than warm to touch.
