Hey guys just wondering how the EXPO works. I see some forums online saying the High expo is the AFR and the Low expo is D/R.
on my 9Z my Swash is set to AIL 60% ELE 60% PIT 35%
And the AFR default is
AFRate is 100% a/b
EXPN1 -40% a/b
well just want to know how the expo affect our control settings can anyone explain how the high / low expo works? thanks... sorry noobie on the loose here :)

When using 120 deg eCCPM swash menu. The precentage of AFR in the three controls. That controls the total travel for each function.
You can then use the AFR menu in the Condition menu to control the range of control you want for each flight condition and each function.
negative precentage of Expo on Futaba, softens the control around mid stick. Positive expo will increase the sensitivity of control around mid stick.
With either expo precentage, you still have the full range of control at full stick deflection.

ahhh so if for example I have -40% then I change it to -20% or -30% that means Im making my mid stick softer control?
or -50% above?

yes negative precentage of expo makes it softer around neutral.
You can look at the graph on the 9Z expo screen and see how it affects the control.

mmm, if you have -40% and you go towards -20, -30%, you'll be DECREASING
the amount of expo and tightening up control around center.

ok I tried changing my AFR settings. My current set is -40% and its a S curve.
then I change it to -20% then its kinda look like linear curve. Does this means its tightening my control?
OR the more the S curve I got the softer around Mid stick?

The flatter the curve is around center. The softer it is around center.
Yes at -20% from -40% the movement around center is more sensitive.
I hope by AFR settings. You mean the expo settings that are located behind the AFR menu in the 9Z.
AFR affects total travel in the function. Expo affects only the amount of travel around neutral.
