I have mine at 2270 w/ the woodies in idle-up. Is this to high? I have the tango 45-10 and TanicPacks 3650 6s, CC-80. If so how should I lower it, I would guess bring throttle curve down some from 100%.

I've flown 4 flights of just hovering w/ no probs at this setting.

Thanks,

Eric.... I am new to the swift but on Nitro's we try to help new people and keep thier head speed 1800 and not too much over. Now that is a nitro and we have seen woods explode going too much over that but this is an E-heli and loading can be different. I hope I didnt freak you out but because of this Nitro experience, I did not want to go over 1900 in idle up with woods. Not sure what the spec is for this heli with woods but I went on my experience....

I hope others chime in here and give the good info but until then I wont be comfortable going much over that until I get a set of carbons on it.

I'm just used to you saying to run the Trex hot so I figured same applied here.

Thanks,

Gaeric... I AM SAYING that ... I just dont know what these woods can take and like any heli this size a high head speed and woods... Well can you say trouble?

Once I get carbon 550's trust me I am CRANKIN up the curve! I think this 600 plus motor might take me to 2600 but I will start at about 2200 to see how the heli changes in performance before I go all the way ;)

2100rpm is the max recommended by century on the stock woodies.
Also the solid main shaft and reinforced feathering spindle are good to have at over 2100rpm with 550mm blades.

I hope you have the 4mm bolts not the 3 'casue I had the luck of bending them at 2000rpm with the woodies.

Yea I have the 4mm bolt.

Hmmm so I need the steel spindle to go over 2200 aye?
OK sounds right and i guess I will have to order it.

Is your's vibration free?

Yes after I balanced the blades. As you see in the maiden flight video I have no vibes at all!

I need to check on the blade bolts to see if I have the 4mm ones. I do have the solid main shaft and triple bearing, new struts and have been vibe free. I also have the new spindle that I've been to lazy to install.

I have over 60 flights on an older Swift that uses the 3mm blade bolts in the blade grips using 515MM RT blades, the older Century 600 motor/ 13T pinion/their 55A speed control on 3700 Evo 6S1P cells turning 2140 in 3D. Still have not bent a bolt.

But if I changed to the 14T for the higher head speed or used longer (heavier) blades then I would think I might possibly bend a bolt.

But as it is set up now with the 515 blades this power and rotor speed gives me a lot of "pop" 3D for 6 1/2 minutes.

A friend does some low and exciting 3D (flips/funnels/death spirals/Tick Tocks etc) using the stock woodies with only 4S1P Evo cells and 14T pinion at about 1700 head speed - again 3mm bolts and no problem. Of course with this head speed and lower power he cannot do it with as much "pop" as with the 6S1P can.
