Well unless they changed the SE battery compartment because they eliminated the trainer port, I would think it would.

That type of tooling change (Tx case molds) would cost money and I would doubt they did so.

Have you thought of emailing [Rhino] the manufacturer?

Spectrum does not recommend LiPo batteries for their radios. You'd be better off with a 2500mAh NiMh battery.

I've been using this with great success:

I agree ualdrivr. The "reviews" are mixed however but that wasn't his question and he hadn't gotten a response in a while so I though I would give him another suggestion.

For that price the battery is disposable! If I leave the power on and kill the battery then woops....I'll run the stock battery until the next one ships.... :YeaBaby:

Unless it vents with flames and toasts your Tx.

Where would the energy come from to ignite if it's out of juice?

Because 95% of people will try to charge the completely dead battery. :)

I pulled the trigger and love this battery. I'm just charging it to 12V and recharging at about 11.1V. A123 is a better option since you can charge with it as normal, but I do love this lipo.

Even better is the Sanyo Enerloop or Sanyo 2700 mAH NiMH packs.

The 2700 has more capacity than the lipos. Can be charged safely through the stock charger port. Mine has held a charge for over 5 months.
