I wish I had bought the CP PRo. I thought I got a great deal getting the regular Blade CP for $200.00 but after:

Aerobatic upgrade kit with symetrical blades, 9t pinion, and heatsyncs $24.99

Eflite LiPo Battery(no charge have to use my own) $34.99

Bell Hiller Head $24.99

TOTAL $285!!! :shock:
I could have gotten all this on the Pro for Just $249, but WAIT!!!

Now I want a g90 HH Gyro. Oh it doesn't work with the 4 in 1, you have to buy seperate electronics for that. So another

Eflite 2 in 1 Dual ESC + Tail mixer $34.99
Cheapo Esky 6ch Rx $14.99
TOTAL REQUIRED TO BE ABLE TO USE A SEPERAT GYRO $335.00!!! :arggg: Remember I got my Blade CP for $20 under MAP.

So for $249, I could have been in the same place I am now.

The lesson is: Buy the CX as a toy or by the CP Pro if you want a decent heli that is HH gyro ready. Eflite should just pull the CP from the market as it is a rip off to their customers.

Anyone need a Blade CP 4 in 1? I have one for sale along with an Eflite Blade CP Controller.

On the other hand, many people are happy flying their BCP with the flat blades and stock setup.

But from what you are saying, you should have just gotten a HDX300.

I wish i had the Pro too, but the guy at LHS was like "Oh, that one would be WAY too advanced for you. You should really get the CX." I knew i didnt want a coax, so I got the CP, but after a week I upgraded just like you. It's been a month since I bought the thing and I'd bet that I can fly better than most of those guys at the LHS. "Too advanced" LOL. Gimme a break. Those guys just kill me.

I would not use the E-flite 2in 1 + tail mixer. It will not work with a heading hold gyro either it has revo mix built in to it(+ tail mixer) and it has no adjustment on it for the amount. I tried it on a Blade CP last winter and I could not get the tail to hold, it would kick ramdomly in different directions and amounts.

Can't you just split up the 4 in 1. Can't be that difficult as the rcvr and 3 in 1 (essentially) are just piggy-backed in the 4 in 1 case. You just need breakout capability between the two which is the only difference between the BCP and the BCPP for the plug and play brushless and gyro set-up! Have not done this but thinking along those lines. It should not be too difficult to figure out. Anybody tried this yet?

When I got my CP Pro he was really pushing the CX on me. He even picked up the box and started walking to the register. I just picked up what I wanted and said I don't want the CX. He tried for hours to get me to buy an airplane instead because he said it was easier to get into the RC stuff with.

OH well, I do wish I got the 450SE instead so it could be worse.

Yeah too bad I didn't know about that until well after I had my cp. It seems that for about 400-450 one could get a complete HDX300 in the air. (Assuming you already have a 120 capable controler)

If I only had the insight 3 months ago that I have now I would have gotten the HDX300 in a heartbeat. But all I Knew of then was the Trex 450 and at 650-700 I felt that was way too much $ for a 1st heli.

Is this really the case? I know I read on eflite's website that it could be used with a gyro. Also, here is a direct quote from helihobby.com where I ordered it: "Another sophisticated mixer control board, this one by E-Flight. Intelligently mix between the main motor and tail motor. Simply add a Gyro and have full microprocessor capable mixing for dual motor Micro Helis !!!""

I really hope this will work, but I guess if it doesn't, I ordered all the stuff from one place so I can just send it all back.

It is relatively easy to take the 4in1 apart. One side containes the gyro and main and tail speed controllers. The other side is the receiver.

Just plug your gyro in the receiver and then to the esc and shrink wrap the components. Pretty simple really.

Be sure to turn the gain on the 4in1 controller all the way down to disable the gyro you dont want to use.

This is what was done before this new 2in1 box was available. Should work like a champ.

Jev;
The 2 in 1 will work with a gyro, but did you notice it does not say a heading hold gyro. I tried using a heading hold and could not get it to work it would wag and kick the tail all over in heading hold.

Squirrlybird;
According to Jason Merkle who is a product developer for E-fight/Horizon Hobby the 4 in 1 will not work with a Heading Hold Gyro. Turning the gain all the way does not disable the mixing in the 4 in 1. Even turning the proportional mix all the way down does not turn it off like it does on the 3 in 1.

ARGH!! Well maybe I can use the 2 in one just to control the main and use a second seperate sc to control the tail.
