These kits are not far off in price, so if you were going with a Raptor 50 with OS Hyper 50/Hatori combo, would you get the v2, SE or Titan?
Thanks for your thoughts,

Once you get the SE, the upgrade need is less... needed!
That said... you'll upgrade it anyway :wink:

Titan, fly it stock and only upgrade the things that develop slop AFTER they developed slop :!:
Let the bling be your flying skills.

I couldn’t agree more Laurens,
I got my first IC type Heli and through the mercy and generosity of one of my club members I got a Raptor Titan hyper 50 dirt cheap] and he built the thing with a few upgrades;
Tail Rotor hub, the stock one is disaster upgrade to hardened steel or search this forum for other suggestions.
Metal main rotor and grips where in his opinion must do’s. [He flew agressive 3D], Speed controller was another, in my case was a Throttle Jockey. I have witnessed the end result of a slight miss configuration in the transmitters throttle curve spin the head up to dangerously high RPMS. Just three seconds of that and WAM, This pilot told me he “Sprung the Clutch. There goes a Bell and clutch, TOAST beyond repair. The tail rotor washout arms fly bar washout arms are more on the line of “Bling” we call it eye candy around here. Carefull though you can get into trouble DUE to the Rev Gaurd end point settings in your transmitter :shock: .
The Quasi questionable add-ons would be the tail rotor housing and the elevator cradle and arms [ pertaining to the 90 degree swash only] There is a slight slop in there, the tail rotor housing can crack in time due to stress and ultrasonic like vibrations weakening it in time.
For light duty pilot like , the metal rotor head is good but the metal grips? would be questionable. The focus on these two devils is if the grips or rotor head break apart in an indescreat landing it tends to rip washout arms and flybar arms with them taking several parts to the grave. My prefrence of the "weakest point ' would be the blades, I took off the Maverics and plan on using cheap woodies to controll my weakest area being the blades, assuring a lower parts count per crash. :arggg:
This however is not preffered for 3D pilots.

Hi all
I was in the same boat not to sure what to get, I in the end went for the titan 50 , the titan is a bit cheapper than the se, and I decided to upgrade the parts latter on as things wear out as there is no rush , I also didnt like the pink decals with the se, girlfriend like them tho.. :mrgreen:
I can say that I am very pleased with my titan it is my first nitro bird, and at the time I couldnt make up my mind if to go elec.... anyway I am very glad I that I got the titan I found that It sits rock steady and the hyper has loads of power, great heli, with so many upgrades if thats your thing..
good luck..
