Nice video. How do you trigger the camera? I'd like to get an AP set-up for my T-Rex 450SE but I first need to figure how to trigger my Canon SD600 w/out IR capability.
I have been reading as many posts as possible and I saw the servo option, but need to figure it all out.

you may consider usb switch that blip.au is selling. contact them to see if it works with that camera.

Thanks for the info. I did a search for the Blip USB trigger but so far I can't find it. I really don't want to mess with the internals as it's a fairly new camera with just casual AP use anticipated.

Sparky, the servo option is really easy with the Askman mount. You just attach the small servo to the top cross-bar on the tilting part of the camera mount and use the servo arm to press the trigger. I double-side taped the servo on and added a couple of zip-ties for security. To soften the trigger and avoid any scratches on the button, I just put a Trex ball link on the arm and a small o-ring on the shank, which then means that the trigger is only touched by the rubber. Hopefully the photo will make it all clearer. This way your camera is not modified in any way, and can be removed for other uses.

Then just adjust the ATV on the trigger channel until it just fires the shutter. Easy!

Thanks for everyones help!
Askman, I'll be sending my order in shortly, do you have an option to leave the Landing Gear (LG) on my T-Rex? I saw mention of it in an other post, and I am very interested in leaving the LG on.
Thanks again everybody!

just mention you want top bar. my standard version is for optio, so does not have it.

I will need to adjust the design for the stock LG strap on type. Also, I think I found a source for black g-10 in 3/32". so, I may be able to offer totally black setup soon.

Do tell, I'm sick of the yucky greenish in 3/32. Don't worry I buy in real small quantities so I won't use up all your stock. :D

I agree. :) only issue is that I have to buy in 3'x4' sheet. I doubt you will use much. :D

Ahh, no not me. 3'x4' I would go through a zillion blades on my saw to cut that!!!

I just gave it a squirt with Tamiya Metallic Black for polycarbonate, and G10 looks just like CF :)
