I just got a heli off ebay and its got a Hitec electron 6 receiver and i need to know how to make my radio connect to it without all my servos going crazy. I dont know if the PCM thing has to do with it or what.
imanub!
Im pretty sure its gonna be that my PCM radio cant switch to FM lol just a guess.

That rx is an FM rx and so the model you have it on in your 7CHP must be set to FM (PPM). Not only that, but Futaba uses what's called 'negative shift' so if everything still twitches with the 7CHP on FM then you may have a positive shift version of the rx. They come both ways.

The 7c does both, go into the parameter menu and change MOD to PPM, turn it off and on and check out your rx.

The 7C does both PCM and FM (PPM) but it doesn't do positive shift. Any FM rx used with it must be negative shift to work.
Some non-Futaba rx's have a small dip switch that lets you match the 'shift' to your brand of tx but with the Electron 6's you have to choose which shift before you buy.
JR & Airtronics tx's use positive shift.
Hitec & Futaba tx's use negative shift.
The Airtronics Stylus and a couple other upper-end tx's will do both negative shift and positive shift along with their proprietary type of PCM, but the 7C definitely will not.

Hitec will do pos or neg shift. And their own version of PCM (called QPCM).

The electron 6 is not shift selectable.
Look at the label on the top, on the lower left side it will say HITEC, right above that it will say NEGATIVE SHIFT or POSITIVE SHIFT
If its negative, setting the transmitter to PPM should get it to work, if its Positive Shift it wont work with Futaba transmitters in North America.
