Hi vis is ALWAYS good. Fancy paintjobs in subdued colors look nice on the ground, but you'd better have eagle eyes when they're in the air.

Very nice and useful paintjob! :)

What paint did u use? I tried painting my venture canopy and it lasted for about a month and then started getting fuzzy from all the dirt and crap sticking to it after the spray-can clear coat got sticky from the fuel.

I like the paint job, looks nice.

I used a plastic primer and white paint by "American tradition" (Lowes) ,Krylon orange and a Clear engine enamel by duplicolor.....hopefully being that its all been cleared with an engine enamel it will hold up to fuel and other stuff that it may be exposed to.

Looks like you strapped the Rx ant to the Aluminum tail boom support.
Depending on how you did it it may change the sensativity of the Rx.

Do a ground check at a minimum with the Tx ant in all the way, pointed at the heli but with it facing sideways. Walk off at least 100' for the check. Have a helper observe the bird for clean response.

Many people mount a Dean's ant inside the canopy. Helis don't require much range but you don't want to sabotage yourself.

BTW: Cable ties used to hold the foamed Rx in will evenutally cut into the foam. Should be OK to start though.
