OK, trying to segway from a V4 FP to the blade CP Pro. I purchased a couple of the NiMH batteries for practice, since LiPos are so fragile. I cannot get the blade off the ground. Just enough to flip it on one pack, nothing on the other. I tried both symetrical and flat bottoms. To no avail. All my LHS are out of the AC adaptors for the LiPo charger, guess I could just connect across the truck battery to try the LiPo.

But this should work with the NiMH! Does anyone have ANY ideas?

Thanx.

The Blade CP Pro will not fly using the NiMH that the Blade CP uses. In order to use the NiMH batteries you have to use the Blade CP motor that has a 10 tooth pinion. The Pro uses a motor with a 9 tooth pinion and with the NiMH
does not have enough head speed to fly.

Everything I have read (the way I understand it) is that the motors are the same, the pinions are different. Just get yourself a 10t pinion and it should work.

Wow. OK. Was not aware of that. Thanx guys. Maybe I'll just try the LiPo first and see where that takes me.

Learning something new everyday!

I just charged the LiPo on one of my cars batteries (after seeing some of the horrifying photos of LiPo charging gone wrong, that makes me nervous) and the bird got off the ground in the living room. Will fly it for real tomorrow morning.

Wish me luck!!

Thanx Guys!
