my 12z is not working on the synthised part. i cant get the power to turn on ive tried doing both no wires and with the dsc cord and is still does not work. what is going on. also when i power on my governor (gv-1) flashes like little stuff on the screen so i dont know what is going on

My guess is that he was turning the RX as soon as the TX started transmitting the channel information. Need to wait till a couple of lightening bolts and beeps have taken place before turning on the RX to receive the information.

actaull i did what david had said at first then i tried it at the first beep and it worked

I used a spectrum analyzer to see what was going on during a freq change.
The TX transmits on channel 11 with very low power output. The RX looks for channel 11 on power up for any changes, if none it then uses what was stored last.
The RX needs the TX on first before it is turned on for it to see the right signals at
the right time. If the RX is turned on first, it will never see a freq change request and stay on it's last known freq. This is a very basic explanation. Anyone can correct me if I am wrong. I have screen captures from the spectrum analyzer, of this in action but do not know how to post them. I did not measure the time the RX
looks for the signal before changing, probably should have for info. Can do this later if needed.
