Gyro Issues

I have a 611 in one of my 550s and am not happy with it. On any piro manouvers like a piro flip, or tic toc, the piro rate accelerates even if I try to keep it in check.

After reading the forums it seems this is a character flaw of the 611 so I am looking to swap it with something else.

The obvious choice is a DS760 which I have in another 550, but I have some options that do not cost any extra money

Option #1: I have a Trex 250 with a GP750 gyro on it and it holds great on the 250. I could try it on the 550.

Option #2: I have a brand new Logitech 2100T gyro that I could use.

Option #2 is less work but I am not sure how well it will work on the 550 class. Has anyone had experience with This gyro to make any comments ?

I want to be able to do aggressive piro manouvers where I can maintain a constant piro rate

Solaris. I have a 750 in my 500 and 550, love it for the price, simplicity (set it forget it). Was doing some hard punch-outs yesterday, tail didn't move an inch. Don't really do much backwords flyin, but sport 3d flips rolls ect. No drift. Piro seems pretty fast, endpoints still at 100. You can find these used for about 70 bucks. If your a stick banger, well, I couldn't tell ya.:thumbup:

The new Skookum is just about out.. it's "supposed" to be better!.. and is a little cheaper.. $420.

I'm using the GY520 in a 450 and no problems at all with piro rate, very consistent actually. Are you using the FAI or 3D mode?

on the 611 i tried both. F3C worked best.

I tried a 600 with a 520 in it that a friend had.. it felt much better but, it could be the setup and not the gyro,

Regardless I will try the 2100t anyways as its sitting here.

If i did go buy a new one it would most likely be another ds760

Solaris, just for shits, put that 750 on your 550 off your 250, man thats a lot off fifties. Sure you don't have blue-tooth and you can't download music, and check email, with the 750, but works pretty good as a gyro
