OK THERE IS NO RECALL YET BUT THERE MAY BE AFTER WHAT I HAVE HEARD.
A couple days ago a buddy of mine was flying his 45% sclae plank around with the 14MZ and the G3 recievers on channel 17. Now my other buddy was starting up his raptor with a JR radio and on channel 38. As The guy on channel 38 turns on the Plank locks out and almost crashes. The heli guys tail had exploaded on his raptor thus when he turned off the plank had control again about 10ft before crashing. The plank guy had called Frank Noll team manager and some other people with the radio and they HAVE been able to repeat the same incident.
ONCE AGAIN THERE IS NO RECALL AT THE MOMENT BUT I WILL POSRT BACK WHEN I HERE ANYTHING ELSE

So just how many forums are you spreading this as yet unfounded rumor on??
As I noted over on RR, Frank Noll has no knowledge of this alleged incident, he, nor Futaba have replicated it, and Hobbico has not had any reports of problems with the G3 since the very early nand isolated incidents when the radio first came out.
In addition, I tried to replicates this in my garage with my 14MZ using both a Futaba 9Z and a JR 9303 without success.

Lets have some information. What was the name of the plank guy above that supposely called Frank Noll? Who are the other people that have supposely been able to repeat the same incident?
If the JR radio on channel 38 locked out the 14MZ. I would think it was because the 14MZ was set to channel 38 also and not channel 17.

I have been flying helis for 15 years. I have never seen the tail rotor of a heli explode just from trying to start the heli. Surely the heli pilot would have done a pre flight and seen the tail rotor was damaged before they tried to fly the heli.
Lots of I heard they said going on in this story.

It is also very far fetched as Futaba and JR PCM's are so different that you can actually fly a JR and a Futaba on the same channel...I know...had it happen to me one day at the field...both the JR and the Futaba were on channel 43...must be the Positive/ Negative shift of the RX's...

It's currently being beaten to death over at RR where anti-G3 trolls are (as usual) taking advantage of the lack of facts. Personally I'm leaving the topic alone until Futaba responds or it dies away. There's no winning an argument with folks like that as they have nothing to lose and will continue to turn words around simply to stir-up trouble. They either can't afford these radios or can't bring themselves to spending the $$$$$, but would definitely love to own one themselves. :arggg:

i get this attitude almost everyday. whenever I say, hmm there's a problem while flying, i hear the words "its that 14mz". and it definitely comes from somone who's radio is JR. and I have absolutely no idea why.

I will add once again that I have emails from Frank Noll as recent as 5 minutes ago (0730 Monday) stating that he has not been contacted about this situation. In addition, I have tried to duplicate it in my shop using a 14MZ, 9Z, and 9303, all without success.
On RR the guy who was the heli flyer added that his TX caused the G3 to lockout on the bracket channels to the main one. Sounds to me like a problem with the 9303 synthesized module and NOT the G3.
The real problem is that a 15-year old kid posted an inflammatory statement that is falling apart under scrutiny. Got to love the internet.

Don't blame torkboy, it's easy to be gullible at that age. It's also clear to me that the information passed onto him by his so-called buddies is inaccurate.
One thing is guaranteed, you won't be able to convince folks that don't want to be convinced (re: your posts over at RR). Those folks need to feel better about not being able to own these radios (which they clearly, perhaps desperately, want); this is demonstrated by all their negative comments combined with lack of factual data.
Those of us that have been using these systems for over a year now can attest to their functionality. They work as designed. It's possible some may have had problems, but that has yet been proven a fact. I'll continue using mine for as long as I can. I'll also continue being vigilant of any issues that may arise while using the Rx. Anything is possible, just ask Murphy. ;)

I to have flown with both JR and JR PCM on the same channel at a feild in St.Cloud. Had no issues with my PCM 8103. .

I don't really blame him. I blame the people who are so willing to accept what he said without the slightest bit of skepticism.

This too is very true. It reminds me of the old saying about how when you wrestle with pigs you both get covered in crap.. and the pig LIKES it!!.

My position exactly.

Since the thread was closed on the other forum by the topic starter. I will just close this one also. Seems there was a lot of misinformation being given and we will just leave it at that.
